Follicular thyroid carcinoma is the second most common, often spreads to bones/lungs.

Symptoms

  • Neck mass
  • Bone pain (metastasis)
  • Shortness of breath

  • Biopsy (capsular/vascular invasion)
  • I-131 scan

Treatments

  • Total thyroidectomy
  • Radioactive iodine
  • TSH suppression
